Description
A country road that leads back to Beans Mill, Upshur County, West Virginia. Technically on the map, it's known as County Road 16.This road leads to where I spent every summer of my childhood, tromping through the woods and swimming in the Blue Hole in the Buckhannon River. Where my great-grandfather had a mill to grind corn, and there's a spot in the river still known as the Mill Dam. My family used to have a farm there, next to the railroad tracks; the two-story farmhouse that once stood there can only be seen now in faded photos.
