Description
I've finally finished this drawing!it's a portrait of lovely
I used this her photo, one of my favourite photos of her
[link]
But i wanted to make the drawing not so overlighted.
Thanks to my scanner it looks worse than in reality, 'cause scanners always seem to have some problems with reproducing the details when drawing is light and has a lot of subtle details.
However, it looks like this now and i can't help it.
I started it at the end of August if i remember it right and it was unfinished all this time. Today i added details to her hair and i think i've done with it.
I used 3B, 8B pencils, tissue to make the shading, eraiser to make hair and color pencils for lips and eyes. Some details to the lips were added with white acrylic with thin brush, 'cause just white pencil was no good for it.
Size is 21x21 cm (about 8x8 in)
I don't know exactly, but i think it took about 15 hours.
Hope you like it

this is really impressive. I like the extreme color contrast. it brings out a lot of emotion.

did you shade in all the hair and then use an eraser to make the individual strands? if so what kind of eraser?

yeah, you right. it's much faster that to make strokes with pencil. eraiser...hmmm...just simple white eraiser, Staedtler, it's not so soft, not so hard.
