Description
Shipbucket drawing of a light cruiser designed by Hoffmann in 1930 after a request from the association "Onze Vloot". It was designed as a 8000t light cruiser alternative to his 10.000t armoured Washington cruiser of 1929.
The particulars are as followed; Length 175m - Beam 16,84m - Largest Draught 5,53m - Displacement Standard 8000t - Normal 9000t (half full load, draught 5,07m) - Full 10.000t - Speed 33kts at normal displacement - 90.000 SHP - armament of VIII 15cm guns 300rpg - IV to VI 8,8cm AA guns 400rpg - VIII 4cm machine guns 1000rpg - VIII 1,27cm machine guns 2500rpg - possibly two twin or triple torpedo launchers per side - armour 100mm belt, 125m CT and communication tubes, 150mm turret face, 100mm barbettes, 40mm bulkheads 1,20m deep
