Seventh Element - Two Centuries Later (Intermission)

(Added Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rainbow Statuettes. Twilight and Rarity's Statuettes are on Applejack's desk. Applejack's is in her desk. It probably feels weird to have a little figurine of yourself. I like to think each of Pinkie's Statuettes has a different pose. I also added a cat plushie and a little pink bow Applejack was given for her filly Bright Pear Opal.)

War. War never changes.
Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria...
…there came an era when the ideals of friendship gave way to greed, selfishness, paranoia and a jealous reaping of dwindling space and natural resources. Lands took up arms against their neighbors. The end of the world occurred much as we had predicted -- the world was plunged into an abyss of balefire and dark magic. The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons, as always, purely our own. The world was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing; a magical spark struck by pony hooves quickly raged out of control. Megaspells rained from the skies. Entire lands were swallowed in flames and fell beneath the boiling oceans. Ponykind was almost extinguished, their spirits becoming part of the ambient radiation that blanketed the lands. A quiet darkness fell across the world...
…But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue for another bloody chapter in pony history. In the early days, thousands were spared the horrors of the holocaust by taking refuge in enormous underground shelters known as Stables. But when they emerged, they had only the hell of the wastes to greet them. All except those in Stable Two. For on that fateful day when spellfire rained from the sky, the giant steel door of Stable Two swung closed, and never re-opened.

It is here you were born. It is here you will die. For in Stable Two...no one ever enters...and no one...ever leaves.

So, yes! Applejack singing to her newborn filly, Bright Pear Opal, who resembles Applejack, Applebloom and Big Mac's father Bright Mac, and Goldie Delicious, a cousin of the Apple Family. Her name comes from Bright Mac and Opal apples, and her middle name is the name of Applejack, Big Mac and Applebloom's mother. Bright Opal has dark green eyes, Applejack's father's coat shade and Goldie Delicious's mane color (when Goldie was young). Bright Opal also resembles Applesnack, since I made his coat green.
As you could probably figure out, I made up the features of Applejack and Applesnack's child. He/she isn't discussed much in the book. So Bright Opal is part canon character, part OC, I guess? Not really sure, haha. Speaking of Opal, the cat here is one of Opalescence's kittens, and the dog is one of Winona's puppies. The cat is named Lazuli and the dog is named Lula. Lula and Lazuli wound up being the biggest of their litters.

I'd like to think some Vaults did allow pets and stocked Vaults with animal supplies because animals keep people's spirits up. Since animals and pets were kept very healthy and clean in Stable 2, the best animal medicines, food, water and such used for them, their poo was safe and clean enough to be used as fertilizer for the Stable 2 apple orchard. Larger pets had tags on their collars or chips, and all smaller animals had chips. The tags and chips have technology similar to and compatible with PipBucks, and whenever the animals approached most doors, the technology would send a signal to the door to open them. Thee chips and tags allowed the pets to be tracked and monitored their health. Whenever they got sick or hurt the tag sent a notice to the PipBuck of the head or heads of a family, and the animals would then get treatment at the Stable vet. Cats and dogs and other pets got exercise by running around the Stable atriums, where Stable residents played sports, and also in the Stable 2 apple orchard. All pets were trained well and knew not to mess things up. They also sometimes took care of pests that sometimes got into the Stable. At least in Fallout 3 there were radroaches, though that was because the Vault actually was opened before, and I don't think Stable 2 was ever opened to let people in or out until Velvet Remedy and Littlepip. If there's one thing I know, though, it's that animals and pests will get into places if they really want to, and possibly snuck in before the Stable was sealed in order to get away from the apocalypse they sensed was coming. And then more probably got in when Velvet and Littlepip left.
