Day 7: Fancy
Characters: Maxwell Clockworker and Hwa-young (ocs - Lamplit Cities)

Among the common folk are those gifted with magical abilities, simply referred to as Wizards and Witches. However, rule over the Paradises prohibit the use of magic within their walled cities, so the magically gifted hide their abilities, some even in plain sight.

Young wizards and witches often seek the guidance of their much more experienced elders, enter groups called Covens and choose either to practice Light or Dark magic.

But in recent times, Dark magic has been preferred over Light magic, as the influence of the demonic Entity known as Aeren spreads throughout the Limbos and leak into The Paradises, tempting the young magic-gifted to become members of madness, chaos and death.

Hwa-young is a white Witch who is still learning the ways of the Light. She is quite new to the magic teachings; only knowing how to summon a Familiar, create barriers and heal small wounds. Guiding her is an elder Wizard named Maxwell Clockworker, who Hwa knew as a family friend and has been looking after her ever since the loss of her parents.

Hwa-young does have the tendency to keep secrets from her mentor, still going out late at night to be with her childhood friends and performing with them as a live band at bars in order to make a small living and probably gain small bit of fame.

It was all fine. For her anyways.
Shuffling between a life of normalcy and a life of secret fancy magic doesn't sound too hard, right?
