I started to read the books again before the new one comes out on Nov. 8 (or at least the first one anyway), but then I stopped and wondered why so many people don't like Eragon to begin with. Although I agree that the writing could use a little work (and that Arya is a cold-hearted Mary-Sue), I disagree that it isn't wonderful story (and that Eragon himself is a Marty-Stu).

People tend to forget that Paolini wrote the book when he was 15, and that we were also writing Mary-Sues at that age too. They forget that, similar to The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars or no, it should only remind them of an also very good series and thus makes them smile (those who don't like either though, this will obviously not apply to). They don't realize that once he started he only felt that he had to finish, whether he knew his characters needed work or not--why else would he have tried to improve them in the next 2 books? Honestly, I really I feel he deserves more credit; but I didn't come here to debate with you guys, so please keep your hate of the series to your-fucking-self.

Look, the main reason I think people don't like it though: the movie. Although I think the movie itself is alright, compared to the book it sucked ass, especially the casting. Due to the latter though, I decided to draw a few of the more main/well-liked characters as I saw/interpreted them to help myself, particularly since I get tired of reading and the terrible image of the blonde Eragon keeps popping up... UGH! So if you also still need help forgetting the horrible yellow hair from the damn movie before the next book comes out, why not come on over here so I can help?

On another note, I also drew this because, well, I FREAKING LOVE this series! What...? Hey, at least I'm not afraid to admit it...

Oh, and before you ask: I ship EragonxArya~

...Although if the right male character came around I would glady convert.

I wish Eragon and Murtagh weren't related!

Damn you, moral standards!

EDIT: Oh! Almost forgot! For those who don't know, I drew them around Mid/Late Eldest.

EDIT: Btw, the b-days are written by date, and then sun sign/moon sign.
