this spring has been awful, the month of June has been really wet and rainy, we are actually getting all the rain from april that we didnt get. only been in the 70's to low 80's, normally its usually in the mid to upper 80's by now. i am predicting a not so nice summer this year for us. But, that being said, I have 13 of them that popped since the last we talked about it. such beautiful flowers.

Funny, we had an awful spring too, way too cold.
And the weather still isn't very warm.
The clematis however is completely overblown, we have the seeds lying all over the place they are a bit like dandelion seeds, but smaller.
If you have thirteen flowers I think you have a different one, because the number of flowers on the Montana are uncountable.

oh wow, now i am jealous, to have that many, such beautiful flowers. More bloomed overnight so perhaps?? its a young plant. i planted it last year, and it basically dried up and didnt grow, no buds, nothing, just dried up. I was so upset because I really wanted one around my lamp post. When i was weeding out my lamppost this year, i had a ton of weeds, but there was one weed that looked different, so i left it. Thank god above i left it because it was the clematis lol. I would have been so upset if i pulled that out thinking it was a weed lol. My mother in law said they grow stronger and stronger every year, she said thats normal, so hopefully next year it will grow back even stronger

Oh yes you mother in law is right!
After a couple of years you'll have a shower of flowers
And after the blooming it will start growing (fast)
How nice you noticed the difference with the weeds, otherwise...

its funny you say that. I planted some dianthus's last year around my lamp post. i know they are annuals but the ones i have planted throughout my yard in years past keep coming back, in big beautiful bushes. well, i forgot that i planted them around my lamp post last year. i was weeding this year and yanked all the weeds out, which is when i noticed the funny looking weed (the clematis, which i left alone just in case, good thing too), but now, all these grew back, they look gorgeous, but they are not budding, i could kick myself for thinking they were weeds, if i didnt pull them out they would have already bloomed into big bush around my lamp post. So, i have been watering them, letting them grow again.
Last night i was watering again, and i took a double look. I am starting to think these really are weeds and now i have let them bush up around my lamp post. Dont get me wrong, my lamp post looks flush and green and pretty, but i was expecting the dianthus's to bush out, but now, it appears i may have been watering weeds what a dope lol. I had to laugh last night when i looked at them and instead of the normal dianthus buds, longer skinny stems were starting to stick out of them with these little pink things on them, yup, i think i was watering weeds lol.

Ha, that's indeed a remarkable story
You've taken care of these weeds for some time now, if I were you I would wait for the flowers to come, who knows how pretty they'll be.
Some weeds are real nice

i pulled some of them out, about half, of them, and left the other half in there, the ones closest to do the pole, so hopefully they will flower, if not, oh well, i know what they are for next year lol

I don't agree.
Astronomical summer starts 21 june
Meteorological summer starts 1 june
So take your pick
But anyway, I made this photo a week or two ago and it was
springtime then, that's why I gave it that name

by my clock, the sun sets an hour and a half later, and rises two hours earlier. that's far less nighttime for me to enjoy, which means it's summer once more :c
