(Okay I'm pretty sure that this doesn't need a block but yeah...)
This is what happens when you start watching sadstuck in the middle of the night and your feelings explode. The only thing you can think to do is to do some art for it (and then go on to write an awful poem to put below it). Anyways, I've always been in love with this ship and I really wanted to do some art for it. I just got these new watercolor brush things so I also used this as a chance to experiment with a different medium. I almost never use watercolors, so there are some things I'm not completely happy with (like the background and stuff /shot) but oh well haha. Hope you like it!

I don't know if this was the intended look, but I LOVE the kind of streaky-brushstroke feel of the sky behind them and the cloudy, lighter halo of darkness directly surrounding their figures. It gives the impression of rain, almost, and a mist rising off them from where the droplets hit their bodies. It adds really nicely to the melancholy feel of the piece.

Well actually it kind of was intentional to an extent...the background didn't really come out as I wanted it to at first, so I did that to cover it up and ended up liking it a lot with the darker streaks. As for the rain effect, that wasn't really intentional, but while I was painting it somebody pointed out that it looked like the streaks could be rain so I tried the halo thing to give that effect. I'm glad you like it!

Either way, it's a really lovely piece, and I'm really glad I got to see it! I love this ship, and the sentiment their story leaves behind. It gives all this extra depth to the trollkids and more gravity to what they're doing and AUGH JUST--MY FEELS. You captured them really nicely!

This is very good, considering you don't use water colors often. It is very difficult to keep colors from bleeding into places you don't want it too, and I must say you did a wonderful job keeping that under control. I love the poem too <3

Thank you so much! ;w; yeah I'm used to using acrylics, so using water colors is harder for me in some ways. I keep forgetting that you can't just paint over it if you mess something up...oh well I guess it'll just take some more practice :3 glad you like it!
