Description
During the turmoil at the end of the Qing dynasty, a young man who studied in Western Europe realized the importance of modernization.After he returned to China, he joined the court reformers and tried to promote modernization.
However, this provoked a backlash from conservatives who were still deeply rooted in the Imperial Court, and led to a violent conflict.
