Description
finished tattoos so you get a random sasha made from paint samples. becca and i were in a hardware store MONTHS ago and i took a bunch of samples because... gradiated colors are pretty, and i wanted to see if i could make a picture using the colors.then i forgot i had them.
then i found them again a little bit ago and still wanted to try, so i whipped up a sashafacesketch to see if the colors worked on it. then for some reason i decided to digitally ink it. so, if anyone's interested, the lines were done in photoshop with a mouse and the photoshop freeform pen tool. it took for fucking ever, but i like them, they came out super clean and sharp (and then i ruined that by adding a little blur but oh well). so uhh. yea. there's no real point to this, the circles of color are the color samples that got used in the picture itself. enjoy.
sasha's mine, colored/inked in photoshop, colornames belong to... ace hardware i guess. no takey, faving w/o commenting is boo.

...brilliance. I don't think I actually ever would have come up with that. One, I have no brain, two, I'm so tired by the time I'm finished cleaning up the picture that I'm like, "What the frick ever!". That is all.

Me likey. The blur looks good. It gives the picture a softer look which is different from the usual. I really like colors... lots of pretty colors!

Man, I keep staring at her eyes. The way you do eyes is just beautiful!
I think I may save this and use it for the next time I get the urge to draw a Sasha (and there will be another time, rest assured), for her colors. I'm a stickler (that the word? *forgets*) when it comes to getting colors right and so like having pics like this where I can put it in Paint and use the Pick Color Tool to get the proper numbers for colors (I then put the numbers in over at the oekaki I draw at). I actually even do that with my own characters o_O;

go for it man, though her hair is a bit more desaturated than it should be. there were no really vibrant violet purples soo.

Well it shows that it took you forever to ink in photoshop (translation: you took your time to get it right and the result is that it looks freakin' amazing).
The details of everything blow me away. The way the eye colors mesh threw me for a spin at first, but only because it is slightly different from what I'm usually seeing in various other works of art.
The skin and hair tones are wonderful. I particularly like the details within the ear, nose, and the hair ends.
I do wonder about her expression though. I am mixed between her looking mildly sad and mildly perplexed.
On an end note, I worked in the paint department of a hardware store a few months ago. I bring this up only because I would often find a color name and ask myself who at the paint company was smoking what to give a certain color that name. As an example I point out the color names Nosegay and Rare Treat. Both pretty colors, but I cannot for the life of me see how those words describe the color.

her expression was a pain. i got it all done and did the mouth last because i had no clue what i wanted her to look like. i think she's going for an 'uhhhhhhhhh..' look.
Nosegay means a bunch of showy flowers, which i guess is okay for a light pink, but they easily could have come up w/ a name that didn't sound like an insult that a 12 year old came up with. as for rare treat... i have no clue.

it is wonderful. that is some damn amazing linework, especially considering it's the freeform pen tool. the weight! i like the little bit of blur, too.. otherwise it would almost be too sharp.
the colors are lively and the idea of the paintchips very neat. ; ; you done good. *tips hat*

The blur did not ruin it. It actually adds to the image. And since it's a simple blur, your eye doesn't catch it at first.
You did a wonderful job on this image and the colors work amazingly well.

I love the lines. The varying thickness is so pleasing to the eye, and the sharpness of lines too. I love the eyes and the skin the most. Everything stands out so vibrantly! Inking digitally is something I'll never understand, or be able to master because I always get a case of stupid fingers.

Ah, no, I meant like using the pressure sensitivity option with pen tool (for "stroke"?). I adore that little feature.
But whatever way, it definitely works.
