Description

This was a fun exercise in trying a style more akin to a manga panel ^^ I think learned a lot while during the course of this drawing including just getting my image done without rendering it to death or redrawing whole portions of it. One of the things I really need to do is learn to let go and move on without dwelling on something for too long.

Included is an idea for where I'd like to start a story I have in mind involving my two beloved OC's Sassy and Mars ^^ Hopefully at some point soon I'll be able to put something nice together. For now enjoy a small teaser~

The Isle of Lastimo basked in the summer heat, its rocky terrain tempered by a gentle breeze. Saskia, a newly minted State Arcanist, set out on her first investigation, bound for the bustling city that shared the island's name. Lastimo owed its prosperity to its bountiful mines, which produced a wealth of gemstones coveted by the nearby Confederacy of Yakarta, Tripolta, and Carta. But something was amiss: The mines were yielding an unusual amount of high-purity gold, a feat that defied what a volcanic isle is generally incapable of.

Volcanic activity generally mixed ores and materials providing a variety of resources but of low purity. The thought passed through the minds of state officials that the isle may be magically producing a new source of gold, something which is prohibited by international doctrine. Saskia knew that this kind of magic was strictly forbidden, and she and her partner Mars had been dispatched to investigate both the mines and those in charge of running them.
