Finally the execution date was scheduled. After desperate months of waiting, hopes and disappointments, anger, sadness, depression and acceptance she was actually glad that it happens. During the last month she went through a kind of metamorphosis: from a rebel eccentric punk girl to a calm and understanding young woman. Upon acceptance of her faith, she asked for books about the death penalty and informed herself about history, methods and arguments for and against capital punishment. She had to conclude herself surprisingly that all what would happen to her is totally in agreement with her own and the method of hanging would be her primary choice. Yeah, in a certain way she was excited about it. She thought : I made a mistake and justice must be served. And it is good so....." She prepared a letter in which she declared that she accept her penalty and glad that the authorities did not make an exception on the base of her celebrity status. She wrote that she hoped that her example will help to keep the young generation away from drugs. On her final day 6:00 AM, she was put from her cell, cuffed and brought to the gallows directly. She was lead to a trapdor on the scaffold, her wrist cuffs were replaced by leather bands. In addition her upper arms and ankles were tightly fixed with additional bands. Her last request not to be hooded was approved.
