Well, I finished this, mainly because I really can't focus on much else right now. Screw relationships
It's not perfect. Some things could be better. I am soooo tired of looking at this.
Anyway, So a simple expression sheet for Zach, since I have a rather action filled scene coming up starting in my next comic page. A little practice trying to stay consistent. A couple expressions were inspired by some Disney expression sheets I found, since I wasn't sure where to start, then made an attempt on my own with the rest. And I wanted to try drawing a superhero landing

Zach is one of the four main characters in a dark sci-fi/cyberpunk comic series I am making titled 'Dark Streets'. He is technically the main character in the first volume while the rest of the ensemble cast is introduced through his story.

Nickname: Zach Storm (due to scar over left cybernetic eye)

Super hero landing...cliched, yet super awesome! Let's admit, it makes any character who does it a total badass. A carebear could do a super hero landing that it would still look awesome, lol.

I lived in CA for a few months when I was 9.....I don't remember an accent, it was just a neutral sounding tone to me >.>

Maybe it is, I grew up in British Columbia so it is a normal accent to me. Though, I've been doing a lot of dialect studies for my characters (all four of them have distinctive dialects and accents) and Canadians (and the West Coast) have some very distinctive speech features. It's cool to read because I didn't realize I spoke that way, and found myself saying some words and listening to how they sound.

You know, I have never considered accents before when designing characters *shame*
I don't have a heavy southern accent. I might have a light one, but it's definitely not as much as my relatives (dear lord). Pretty much I have some vocabulary I still use like "y'all" and other weird words like "Catawampus," "Thingamabob/jig," "Fiddlefarting," "Fixin' to," and rarely I use "ain't." But those are used around people really close to me. Most times, people say I don't sound like I'm from GA.

It was something I started doing in a Pokemon fan comic I wrote a while ago, giving my villain a southern accent. I kinda started messing with speech after that even more.
Apparently I speak Pacific Northwest English. We are going through the Canadian/Californian vowel shift right now with the way we speak. It's kinda neat reading about it, and makes some of our words sound the same to those not used to hearing us talk, or some words sound like others because of how we say some vowels. I also tend to use 'like' a lot in my speech, like a Valley Girl, probably more then I should (My husband says I sound like a valley girl sometimes, particularly when drunk)
