And I'm told I should draw that blue Braixen more often.Does this count?
No?
Well I don't care.
So, this is just a quick update to show that I do in fact still care about my old characters.
I just wanted to draw them again and upload it, despite how simple I've coloured them.
We have, from left to right:
Bonbon! The chocolate fanatic with a wooden spoon instead of a conventional stick.
Loves hugs and being ready for the winter.
(Also dislikes fire, yet doesn't mind making them herself.
Still scares her though.)
Nila! Blue in colour and blue in personality, but she's kindhearted, honest.
Not a blueberry fanatic, due to contrary belief.
Haley! Loves being a balloon and normally weighs just as much as one, surprisingly not weird about it, except when she wants to.
Has a bubbly personality and is BFFs with Bonbon.
And newcomer Walter! A Braixen that lived in a region of water, causing him to be quite wissy washy in apperance.
He is formal, classy and well mannered, that is until you wreak his small self esteem by calling him 'cute' or 'a girl' (Looking at Bonbon).
Likes bow ties and playing the tin whistle.
And that's it I do believe.
Again, this was just a simple mock-up and nothing more.
I wasn't making this anything special.

Well for one thing, his stick may or may not act like a bath plug.
His tail can absorb water also.
Oh yeah, and it wouldn't seen right if he didn't end up like a water balloon at the end of it all.

That actually gave me an interesting idea... Water expands when it freezes to ice (albeit not by much), right? Heheh, I can think of all sorts of fun scenarios Walter could be involved in. I mean, he might not think they're fun, buuut... > : D

It does expand when frozen, but not enough that I really see it being effective at all.
But do go on, I want to know where you're going with this. Β

Here's one-- It's a really hot summer day, and people, Walter included, are complaining about the heat. Someone makes a dumb joke about how he should drink lots of cold water to cool off, and he laughs it off ("Heh, uh, good one"). Unfortunately, it's not until after they get an oh-so-convenient water hose that Walter realizes that they're being serious...
Or-- It's a reaaally humid day outside, and after a while, the moisture in the air starts to get to him, and while he doesn't start inexplicably inflating or anything, he does become, embarrassingly, rather pudgy-looking.Β
I probably can think of more of the top of my head, but they're just a bunch of really silly ideas that I thought were kinda funny. : P
And yeah, I'm sure that's not really how his water-affinity works, but whatever, I think they're funny. : P

Yeah, I enjoy seeing people work out how his water magic functions.
I do know myself, but I'm more willing to demonstrate it in drawing rather than explain it.
I do like the humidity idea though and the though of a squishy Walter, although I do want to ask why.
Is it just that he's full of more water?

He's absorbing it from the air, through... Condensation, I guess. : P So yeah, he's filling up with water, which somehow makes him squishy. I know he probably doesn't work like that, but hey, it's just a silly idea.
Then again, if that's how his watery-ness worked, then rainy days would be a nightmare!

I can just imagine him walking through some light rain, holding an umbrella, avoid every puddle he can.
If he can't, well, lets just say Walter won't be looking as thin as he did before. :P
