Very feminine empowering for a pin-up; a lady armed with a cast iron skillet is a dangerous opponent indeed.

it was more of a visual play than a feminist piece, but I don't mind if it sparks discussion.

Well, the reason I find it to be feministic is because of the over-all pose. Her hand on her hip, the skillet raised as if to strike a blow, her hair flying out it every direction (which is often used in comics and animation to portray an angry-and-ready-to-explode/attack mood), it all comes together in a stunning display of power; I feel like the subject has put up with far too much sh*t for far too long and is done being a passive doormat for men. You seem to capture her right before she unleashes her first attack, releasing the floodgates of all the emotions she's been suppressing and holding back. I feel like the viewer is caught completely off guard by the sudden eruption of power that is coming completely without warning from what had always aΒ been peaceful, serene, weak, andΒ passive being.
