If it is... Im sorry to say but the Name "Brohoof" Does not do this picture justice. The name makes it sound dull... It is an amazing picture dont get me wrong. I have it hanged on my wall. its my cover for FB and my phone background .... uh but if there is a chance to get a name change... I was thinking. "Goodbye" "Rose" or... I believe it's from the end of season two of the new series. It's part of a two-part season finale special, the titles being 'Army of Ghosts' and 'Doomsday'. And, in my opinion, it is the single most utterly heartbreaking moment in the new series (I have never seen the old one), and one of the top ten in all the media I've experienced. For that matter, I feel like this image captures the emotional essence of that scene beautifully, and if you haven't had a chance to watch those episodes, I recommend it. Though, I suppose it would help to watch the entire two-season 'Rose' storyline to get the full impact. Nonetheless, I think the Special stands well enough on its own to get the heartbreak in there, whether you're a new viewer or not.

While I found 'Army of Ghosts' and 'Doomsday' quite sad, I must say that I found Tennant's final episode 'The End of Time Part Two' the most memorable for me. Seeing the Doctor break down, saying his goodbyes, knowing there's no chance for him. Then he cries out, "I don't want to go!" My heart broke for him. As much as I loved Rose, she still got her Doctor. I lost mine.
That being said, maybe I'm a little too invested in the show...

No such things as 'too invested'.
I was heartbroken by that episode too, but it had a much more bittersweet flavor to it, knowing that everyone else got their happy endings as well, and that he was still going to go on, even if it was as a different man. Whereas Doomsday just seemed so, so final, and before season 5 when Rose came back, you had no way of knowing it wasn't forever, so I felt the pain there a little more deeply.

Okay thank you for replying I just got done finishing season 1 and watching the Ninth Doctor Regenerate into the Tenth and right there too me while he was going on on how fantastic she was that too me was heartbreaking. I cant wait to see this one!

That's a good point. I was wondering what the period costumes bit was about, and I kept seeing people say it was a 'Tsubasa' reference, which, since I've never seen/read it seemed like a plausible excuse. At the same time, though, the poses just scream Doomsday. So, it's probably a hybrid. Certainly, its two of the saddest moments I can think of.
