I really like pieces like these that use really soft colouring (I need to find out how to use open canvas and painter properly Very nice job on the bangasa (umbrella), especially the supports. Also I like the sense of depth created by the foreshortened leg.

Oh... my.. god... this is amazing! The colors... gah! *ahems and pulls herself together* I really like the coloring on the jacket (or kimono, whatever you'd like to call it) the way the red from the umbrella fades into the other colors is amazing, heck, the coloring in general was just really well done. Do you use Painter, Photoshop, both, or something else? I also really like the way there isn't an isolated color in it anywhere (that I saw). You did I really nice job making sure that the blues and reds were scattered about the painting in some way. It's great! ^.^ What else... yes, I love the pose, it seems very relaxed and natural, and the perpective on the foot is also very natural looking and adds a nice new dimension to the piece.

All in all, a great composistion, exellent coloring, and it was all handeled in such a way so that even though I don't know much about this character or anything about the show I can still apreciate the piece. If there's anything left to comment on I'd say the background kind of bothers me. It might've been nice to have some subtle indication of a horizon or buildings or something going on in the picture. But I suppose that's getting kind of nit-picky, eh? Anyway, awsome work. *finally shuts up*

*is left speechless for a moment* Oh... my... god... that is GOOD! I love the way you handled the white/cream colored jacket... it looks so warm and I really like the way the colors fade from one to another. Really good job capturing a mood and I the pose and perpestive fills me with envy.
I have no idea who this character is (I feel so out of the loop) but you handeld the picture in such a way that I don't need to understand all the inside plot points and characters to apreciate it's beauty. VERY well done. *claps*
If I really got nit picky I'd say the background could use some work, maybe some indication of a horizon or other things in the festival, and the yellow lantern looks kind of strange... but again, that's *really* nitpicky.

I agree with the masses; you should do a coloring tutorial.
