Description Name: Link (?)
Race: Hylian
Age: Unknown
Height: 5'11"

A mysterious warrior known as the Hero of Men, he is one of the greatest warriors Hyrule has known. Thus far, he's not appeared in any Zelda game, excluding the prologue to Minish Cap. He is famed for wielding the Four Sword and a power similar in appearance to a Triforce piece known as the Light Force. He used both to fight against The Shadows and seal away all the evil beasts that vied to cast Hyrule into darkness, saving Hyrule from destruction. Some years after his exploits, the Hero of Men went missing, his name erased from history, and his personal sword, not the Four Sword, was taken up, its powers divided by the sages and sent to different areas of the world.

In Chain of Shadows, the Hero of Men is shown to still be alive in Eternal Curse and acts as a sort of guardian to Agatu. He prefers to go by the name Link, but claims that the name came to him in a dream where a figure told him to adopt the name. Because of the long use of this name, he has completely forgotten his birth name. Nothing more is learned about him until the final installment of the tetralogy where several mysteries surrounding his character are unveiled.

(Note: A theory I heard before posting this said the Hero of Men is named Gustaf in The Minish Cap. I have replayed this and other Zelda games several times and found nothing to support this theory. The only Gustaf I remember was indeed a king, but nothing was said about him being a hero. So until I hear something official from Nintendo about the matter, I do not believe his name is Gustaf. Also, the theory states the Hero of Men was given the Light Force and Four Sword in order to stop a war for the Triforce when the Minish Cap's prologue specifically stated Hyrule was attacked by monsters and this man was chosen to stop them.)
