Description Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is one of the torchbearers of meaningful cinema in Bollywood. Though Aks, one of his earlier movies did not create waves at the box office, his unusual treatment of a different subject was evident. He struck gold with Rang-de-basanti, a movie with indifferent youth as protagonists who witness a change in their approach with some untoward incidents. Heart-stirring music by A.R.Rehman, powerful performances by Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi among others turned the movie into a cult classic. Mehra's next- Delhi-6 did not prove to be too successful but he came to be associated with quality cinema. His perseverance and passion paid off with 'Bhaag-Milkha-Bhaag, the biopic on India's celebrated sprinter Milkha Singhji who won a medal in the Olympics many decades back. The protagonist was wonderfully essayed by Farhan Akhtar. The movie was backed by a strong script written by Prasoon Joshi, powerful performances by Divya Dutta, Pavan Malhotra and inspiring music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra clearly believes that  'Substance is its own style'.
