Artist's Notes: A commission done for . Here is Campe a monster from Greek mythology that guarded the imprisoned Hecatoncheires and Cyclopes in Tartarus. She was slain by Zeus during the Titanomachy who with the help of her now freed prisoners was able to overthrow the titans. She is typically described as a female dragon or drakaina. The upper half of her body was said to be that of a woman while the lower half was that of a multi-limbed snake or scorpion like monster. She was also said to have had multiple bestial heads around her shoulders and/or waist. I had a lot of fun drawing this one as it is a lesser known monsters from mythology with a lot of contradictory depictions, giving me a bit more freedom to flex my creative muscles. It was also a lot of work given all of the different parts that went into drawing Campe but I was glad to put in the effort to bring such a unique creature to life.
