Nice and clean. Keep in mind that you don't need to replicate the style of the front title along the spine. Doing that is a trap that even I've fallen into in the past. Remember not to sacrifice legibility for what the designer may consider to be maintaining the integrity of the style.
I could be wrong with this because the spine might be thick enough to support 'Meggs' in large enough type.. I'm only going by this thumbnail.
Other than that the concept is awesome. Timelines being used as a graphic element to illustrate the theme of the book. The type on the back is nice and clean too, the fact you have two columns of text makes me think twice about my criticism since this looks like it might be a big, thick book afterall.
