So, I checked out a new cartoon released on Disney XD this week called Atomic Puppet. The art style first grabbed me in, since it reminds me of Jimmy Two Shoes with a mix of Gravity Falls and The Loud House, but after watching an episode, I find it pretty interesting.Related content

I see you found this. Tell me how is it that this and the other show Fangbone are only presented as new episodes on week days and at 12:00p.m. here? 11:00p.m. In other places? This seems like aΒ colossal screw up for Disney.

Disney doesn't own or produce "Atomic Puppet" (Teletoon controls production) or "Fangbone" (DHX Media controls production), they just bought the tv airing rights for it in the USA (and a bunch of other countries), so they have limited control over when new episodes get made and how fast. Thus the schedules are different depending on how they think they'll have to pace the seasons. "Fangbone" has way more episodes already produced than "Atomic Puppet", so that schedule might change faster.

I find it surprising to see Disney put out new cartoons on the fly like this, Fangbone and Counterfeit Cat probably to fill space left behind by Phineas & Ferb, Gravity Falls and Wander over Yonder.

While Disney XD has the airing rights for "Atomic Puppet" in the USA and many other coutries, it's not a Disney original. It was made by the Canadian Teletoon. Similarly "Fangbone"'s rights belong to the Canadian DHX Media, and "Counterfeit Cat" to the British Wildseed Kids. Disney hasn't made any of these shows, they just bought the tv airing rights for them in a bunch of coutries including the USA.
Phineas & Ferb, Gravity Falls and Wander over Yonder were all Disney originals on the other hand, with full producion and global airing rights. Β
