Spent this week finishing off Cowboy Bebop, and after doing so I was in a mood to draw Edward, in Loud House style because why not? I love how it turned out.Related content

Why do they even call her "Edward"? That's a boy's name.
Unless perhaps.... She's a tranny.
But the TV show never says, so Ill have to assume she's just a tomboy.

"Edward" is her self-invented personal hacker pseudonym. In real life hackers and hacktivists very often have screennames that hint at a gender and nationality that is different than their real life one, to not even give a hint of their real identity, and to make it harder for authorities to track them. The episode where Ed gets introducedΒ "Jamming with Edward" shows how successful that approach is, Jet questions Earth denizens about Ed, and eveyone tells different and contradictory accounts of who "the real Edward" is, with one person even suggesting the "tranny" thing.
The show just went with how real life hacker pseudonyms are often weird and misleading. The Bebop crew calls her by her hacker name because she's a tag along and Spike, Jet and Faye don't care about her real name. Her actual real name is eventually revealed to be Françoise.
