It's pretty lame how Blizzard took out the pose because a few people( who probably won't even buy the game come release time) had issue with the pose. Her was entirely harmless, and notΒ worth the complaints nor removal. It's not like she was posing for a two-page in a Playboy magazine with her face down and ass up. The fact that Blizzard caved into the complaints of the minority is bogus.

in that sorta weird case they removed the pose from what I heard. But than they release a short film of her and Widowmaker having a fight. a number of booty shots for both of them.
And then Tracer's booty has been plastered everywhere when it comes to marketing. 9 times out of ten a overwatch ad has Tracer zipping across, booty in view. Tracer, and herΒ booty, have been rather visible for months in a number of ways not factoring fanart. But a pose, in game, optional, is what it takes for people to notice? Either there blind, or feel like patching a hole... in a dam.
Though one has to wonder if this was all a stunt set up by blizzard to generate extra publicity. Such as what happens with the Grand Theft Auto games.

Well for one it is a feedback forum the criticism was posted in. sorta the purpose for the forum. And at least it was well written and thought out instead of a keyboard mash of anger. Though if the criticism holds up scrutiny is the question.
But I do feel that the criticism while may be well meaning is late since Tracer's booty has been in clear view for months. just noticing it now is like get on the late train.
Though I can't help but think this is all a set up by blizzard to generate free press, and likely paying that person to make the criticism to spark the powder keg.

Quite the difference I bet.
I think the tracer booty, other female fictional characters, are a symptom of society having a idealize image of a woman. A image that is so ingrain as to be utterly surprising when a female character isn't drawn in such a way. An image that is slowly being eroded as other idealize forms of a woman's body slip into pop culture.
And as a result of the some of the larger issues being lessen. As in no right to vote, no right to own property or work, etc. Now we have the smaller issues left is also a likely reason why the butt shot is being taken seriously. The bigger issues have mostly been tackled. At least in certain parts of the world.
Though never underestimate the small things, or fictional.Β Such as paper cuts, or religions for example.
