Wow. THAT is what fractals is all about! That's AWESOME, man, and you taught me a new word along the way. Apollonian. I'm going to use that word somewhere where it's sure to confuse people.

Haha, thank you. Might be too much info, but Apollonian also has another meaning in art relating to Apollo, Zeus's son. Hes supposed to represent lightness, poetry, and kind of a rational, mild expression, which is in opposition to Dionysian (Dionysus is Zeus' other son), which is all about ecstasy, getting wasted, and just plain hardcore hedonism. It's one of those rational vs. (or +) romantic kind of things. I don't know how much it has to do with this picture, but you could drop it in a critique or something .

Well, sir, I think this is too well ordered for the god of wine and drunken revelry. I'm thinking the Maenads might have fun knocking over the piles.

lol, hooligans! (sorry, sometimes I pretend I'm old and Irish) Nice tie in . Maybe I'll try to make a Dionysion Magnifier that shows this picture post maenad-drunk-punch.

I have a feeling the human mind cannot comprehend that kind of destruction. Awesome!

I was trying to picture what this might look like, and I came up with this (post drunk punch ). I don't know if that does it justice, but I think its getting closer.

^_^ I think I like intoxication better than sobriety anyway.

you short of comments on your fractals? this one kicks ass- seriously- i can't believe people aren't commenting on it!

Yeah, I have only recently started getting involved here, so I don't really know what to expect in the way of feedback. I had been using deviant art as a hosting site previously, and I didn't get very many comments for my earlier submissions, but since I've started trying to learn from other fractal artists here (and since I've joined the apophysis group), I've been getting more helpful advice and comments. This is my first submission to get more than two though, so I'm happy it caught your attention.
Thanks again.

i see! you're a bit of a newb
comments and such do come a lot with activity on the site. the more work you comment on, the more you're likely to get. i've been around here over 2 years now, so i've had a while to get people looking! you'll find you get more the longer you're here, and wit fractals like this, i don't think it will be too far off
they'll have loads of comments before long!
