Have you seen the movie Cloud Atlas?
In an uncountable library of books and films, there are a galaxy's worth of headshot scenes, suicides, executions. But for some reason, this drawing reminds me of a scene at the very end of the film, in which one character's (no spoilers) head is pierced by an execution helmet which has a button-activated spike on the inside.
The white background makes this piece seem very cold. Lovely and haunting.
