These are a beautiful drawing though I feel you should have created more differences between the stages (particularly Tuftler and Flapplin). Maybe the white under belly doesn't have to go away so fast in the Tuftler. Also adding some blue to the wings or belly might help and give the set a bit more style.
I particularly like the tail on Flapplin cause it is so interesting. Just picturing him diving into the water then using it to paddle him forward like a dolphin.
As for the colorful beaks the opportunity for that in the fakedex is rich. I can see an episode where a town a beak judging contest XD. Polished and painted beaks.
For Flapplin I would change the dex entree cause it sounds too much like it was designed to have the tail.

- Flapplin are well know for their diving abilities. Their strong tail and feet help them to swim as well as they fly.
