Description Here are all my purchases I made this past November in terms of tapes and discs holding movies. Enjoy!

A JOYFUL CHRISTMAS VHS
My first VHS from GoodTimes, a company that made VHS compilations of classic cartoons that looked more like they were ripped from badly tanpered with film prints. That's not a flaw to me as this is sort of a collectors item in my opinion. Kept seeing this at Savers and finally decided to get it after seeing that cute dog on the cover for long enough.

BACK TO THE FUTURE VHS
A classic movie right here. Hopefully I'll come across parts two and three at some point. No Deloreans needed.

MEET THE MUPPETS VHS
One of two Muppets videos I picked up recently, this one being a compilation of funny scenes from "The Muppet Show". There is some great comedy in this series that is worth checking out.

MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND 1996 VHS
The other Muppet tape and the only Muppet film I own as of right now. Of course the most desirable one is "The Muppet Movie" but I do want to get the others as well. And maybe some more Muppet tapes as well.

ROBIN HOOD PRINCE OF THIEVES VHS
Another film I picked up as I heard that this was one of the only ways to get the original theatrical version on any sort of physical media.

RECORDABLE VHS FROM 2005
If you are following me on Twitter, you may have seen images taken from this VHS alreafy, but, yeah. Someone didn't want their taped cassette of NBC and later KTLA-5, and decided to give it away. I came across this and wasn't sure exactly what I'd get. Either something taped from a TV broadcast or absolutely nothing. Well, the previous is the answer. I now own a tape that contains an episode of Will And Grace, The Celebrity Apprentice (yes, with Donald Trump, and also the season with loudmouth Gene Simmons), Joey, and there are even ads for the Michael Jackson trial. Several TV spots for movies are also on here such as from "Robots", "The Ring Two", and even "The Passion Recut", and several other things that will make anyone who saw these commercials and programs back in the day feel nostalgic. Notably ads for Pizza Hut and Sears. Then, we get to the section of the tape that was recorded from KTLA, a WB station, and apparently this part was recorded on a Saturday morning because it's their Kids WB block. Some Scooby Doo cartoon with ads for "Smores" cereal and "That's So Raven" having a McDonalds kids meal promotion followed by part of "Mucha Lucha", and then the tape ends. I believe this is roughy four or five hours of broadcasts and I am definitely keeping this in my collection. I also have another recordable tape with stuff recorded onto it, and it was a CBS broadcast from the 90's that a friend of my mother's gave to me last summer.

ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN 2 PROMO VHS
This is a rare promotional tape sold at Blockbuster hyping the release of "All Dogs Go To Heaven 2" and its theatrical release. It's a part of MGM's "Sing Along Songs" equivalent series and it features two songs from the first movie and a "premiere" song from the second. For those not aware, did you know that this movie and the rerelease of "Oliver And Company" were sent to theaters on the same day? It wasn't particularly uncommon for animated movies to duel back in the day, but two movies with dogs as the main characters were put out at the same time, even though one was a rerelease of a 1988 film. Either way this is a very cool collectible tape that I am not parting with.

SPIDER MAN 2002 VHS
Ironically, I found this the week that Stan Lee died, and I didn't really intend on making it a tribute purchase like I'm planning for Stephen Hillenburg, but I guess you could see it as that. I do think this film is dated in some regards compared to other Marvel films years later and it isn't really one of the better superhero films I've seen, but it's still nice to have. At the beginning with the previews there's even an ad for Cingular Wireless and an ad for the soundtrack to the film (which I own on CD). I had the DVD for this and wanted it on VHS, so I decided to pick it up.

TITANIC 1998 VHS
Here is the widescreen version of "Titanic", which I found sealed at one of the thrift stores I visited. I do enjoy getting two-tape sets and I am planning on getting others pretty soon.

WINNIE THE POOH 1992 VOL 10 VHS
This is one of the videos in the original "New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh" VHS line before they rebooted it in 1994 with some of the more familiar package designs most 90's kids recognize. Some of these even feature red FBI screens but this one doesn't. Probably because it was pressed after 1991 and those utilized the green ones instead which would be the norm throughout the rest of the 1990s as far as Disney VHS releases go.

BAMBI 1997 VHS
Yes, I know I already own the Masterpiece variant of Bambi but I wanted a better condition copy. The copy I found at a thrift store a few years ago had a really bad looking clamshell and when I found out that most 1997 release Disney tapes had collectible stamps that you could send in for a free VHS, I set my sights on a better condition copy with any of all of the pamphlets inside. And to my luck I found one at Savers.

OPERATION DUMBO DROP VHS
Also at Savers I found this movie which is one of a select few tapes that had a smaller clamshell packaging. It's still the basic style of packaging you'd expect, but looking at this one and the Bambi tape for example, there is a noticeable size difference. This also came with some promo papers and the people who previously owned this tape also left some stickers inside. Stickers that you use to identify a recordable tape. That's cool. Maybe I can use those for the recordable VHS I discussed earlier.

THE RESCUERS 1999 VHS
Finally, for the VHS tapes we have the controversial Masterpiece release of "The Rescuers". I didn't have this for the longest time so it's nice to have. If you are a VHS aficionado, especially in the Disney department, you have definitely heard the backstory surrounding this release. This tape was originally released on January 5th of 1999 and a mere three days later it was recalled due to a shot of a woman with exposed breasts being seen for a few frames in one of the backgrounds. The movie was altered and rereleased in March of that year, and this is the version that was changed. You can tell due to some of the previews being different as well as the print date at the bottom (my copy was manufactured in February of that year). I'm not so sure if I will ever be able to get the other version because it was recalled and copies circulating online can be pricy, but, I'm glad that I own this version of "The Rescuers" in SOME variety at least. Alright, now onto the DVDs.

SURFS UP DVD
I went to Wal Mart and Target on Black Friday to look for good deals on movies and maybe CDs, and I found this for $2.00. "Surf's Up" is one of the most underrated animated films of the 2000's in my opinion. Out of what we were getting in that decade, it's a film that has ambition to it and I really like these characters a lot. I was sort of obsessed with it back in 2007 because I owned the Playstation 2 game which I think I still have the disc of laying around somewhere, and I had seen the movie theatrically back in the day. So, yeah, I still really love this movie. I love the dialogue, the cinematography, so much about it works well. Sure, there are weak points, but the strong points are fantastic. Sorry for the little review there, I just really enjoy this movie.

PETER RABBIT DVD
On my Target trip I found this for $4.00. That's right. "Peter Rabbit", a 2018 release, was a part of the sale and was a dollar lower than most treasure bin movies you'd find, at least for this sale. This is another movie I really like. When it was first getting pushed by Sony and I saw the first trailer for it, I thought it looked like trash, but then I hear some good things about it, and I see it for my "Trailers I Got" series, and I was surprised. This is really good stuff right here. This is not a "Smurfs" type trainwreck as there is geniune effort put into this film.

And that's all for now. Hope you enjoyed this and I will see you later for the CD update.
