Description
Here are all of the CDs I picked up this month. I already own Breaking Benjamin's "Dear Agony" and Papa Roach's "Getting Away With Murder", but the reason I picked up alternate copies of both is because these are different from the copies I've owned for years. The Breaking Benjamin "Dear Agony" copy in this picture is the edition with the DVD with bonus music videos on it. This was available exclusively through Best Buy back when this album was released and is understandably harder to come across than the regular edition. Got it for $9.79, so that's a much better deal than you'd expect. As for "Getting Away With Murder", they made two covers for the album. One is the explicit version with the moth-looking thing on the cover, and one is the clean version. I wanted to have the other edition, because I am starting to be more open to buying explicit variants of albums, but only on a limited basis. If it's a band I really like or an album I really like, and I don't have the explicit version, then I'll get it because I like having both versions. Or if there is something different about the other version. Papa Roach isn't one of my favorite bands or anything like that. I'm more of a casual fan of Papa Roach, although I don't love everything they've ever done, but "Getting Away With Murder" is probably their best album. So, there's that.Other than that, some very lucky purchases here. Finally picked up Meshuggah's "Catch Thirty Three" and Submersed's "In Due Time" after wanting to own them for years. Also, I've made my first purchases from bands such as Foreigner, Damiera, and Cog. And also, I ordered two Architects albums that I don't already have. This is in anticipation of their latest album "For Those That Wish To Exist", which I preordered through Amazon. So, expect more Architects in next month's music update. Additionally, I bought a vinyl record of Karnivool's "Themata", but I didn't feel like including it here. Expect a vinyl collection deviation pretty soon, and a cassette collection deviation as well. Alright, enough talking, let's get to the list of albums.
