Years have passed since the Novterrans came into the planet of Mundi. They built their space stations and established colonies in this pristine planets, their contact with the natives of the planet ranged from hostile to cooperative. The PTO-Federal Union, The Kusovite Tsardom, and the Anserim Consortium, and many megacorporations of Novterra, cannot always draft their own citizens and ship them offworld to Mundi to aid their colonies there. So the colonies decided to recruit the natives of Mundi into their various causes. The Colonial Defense Corps of the Aureen Republic, is one example of this. The task of the CDC is to protect Aureen territory in Mundi and their respective space territories in Mundi's star system of Helios. They are a special operation units, they operate separately from the other armed forces branch of the Aureen Republic.

The Aureen Republic was established by a joint venture between the Anserim Consortium and other unaligned nations of Novterra.
