I know that Tengu is a ancient Japanese mythological half-man half-bird being known to make people get lost in the mountains.
But your version is amazing reminds me of a character in one of my favorite anime shows...Inuyasha the character I'm referring to is the servant so to speak to Inuyasha's older brother Sessho-Maru. He's a little green goblin type character who wields a two-headed wooden staff with dark demonic power.
