Drawn over the course of the past few days, I just finished this one and was pretty thrilled with it. Back at it again with the pink and red pen. I wasn't initially going to shade with blue (I just did a bluescale Crash ffs), but I was stuck trying to figure out what'd go well with the pink outline AND red background. My roommate suggested blue and I figured that might not be a bad idea; I'm glad I took his advice because that really tied the piece together.

While I worked on the background roses, I was sweating profusely over the fact that they might look like cabbages more than roses. My sister and I have had discussions at length about rose tattoos that look like cabbages, igniting my previously unknown fear of cabbage roses lolol. I just wanted to throw them down though kind of sloppy, I'm not mad if they're cabbage atp.

This piece is certainly related to that SILLY CHARACTER STUDY THING I haven't posted but keep rambling about. Don't worry when I get my head together I will put them all in a collection and it'll make more sense in terms of theme. I can't spoil it yet or I'll really never get around to posting it aaaaaaahhhhhhh heheh

sorry about the void on the bottom, I have this problem where I love drawing out of frame and then cut it out so like the piece doesn't have a perfect AR whatever. I was thinking about it though, and itsn't it kinda BS we can't just have the file be some kind of amorphous shape? Like it's 2024, why are we still stuck including transparent portions because we can't just. I guess why does it have to be square / rectangular. I need genuine internet stickers. web developers take note.

Anyways I couldn't fill that space in if I tried that's where I want the piece to end. > so pretend u can't see the void at the bottom ok! haha
