Description Well I have felt that my gag panels are pretty random. With the exception the Dr. I have no recurring cast to back up on. I just feel I need to take it to the next step and add recurring characters and a purpose to my comics. How can I achive this? I will start doing multi panel comics. It was never my intention to be the next Far Side, I just had funny pictures in my head and I thought the fast way to get them out was with gag panels. Don’t get me wrong. I will still be doing gag panels, there are many jokes that are perfect with a single panel. I’m finding gag panels to feel a bit stuffy.I have plenty of room to draw scenes but not enough panels to tell a interesting story.

The comic will now be divided into three sections. First is the gag panels as usual, Second a experiment with simple characters that I will use no dialog but the visuals to deliver the punchline. The Third is the cast shown and makes fun of a genre dear to my heart called “high fantasy” which is riddled with so many cliches. If high fantasy is the cheese, then cliches are it’s many many holes. I like to make fun of silly things (such as myself) I though it would be interesting to have a cast of the cliche races of fantasy- humans, elves, dwarves, dragonmen, and gnomes in a working class setting but the make them not fit into the archetypes. Most fantasy parodies take a ancient time and modernizing it, I’m doing the polar opposite. I guest it fits more into a ‘urban fantasy’, something that is also done awkwardly. Will it work? I am not sure. If it’s fails I will try something else. I have been working this cast for months, balancing it (well at least trying too) and stretching out my brain on the art end. I also need to calm down a not be so hasty with drawing my comics. I leave sketch lines and stuff, but I want to be more professional in future comics I create. I’m also ditching coloring the panels in monochrome. It will either be ink or full color.

After i finish ‘that blasted 3d game’(working title) that I have been working on for 3 months. I will be working on a project that’s a indies game / web comic that features dragons. But that is not related to this comic.
