last week i went to another milsim game, this time the them was jungle warfare and insurgency, the interesting part is that unlike operation cold responce that was based on a near peer conflict between two factions, this one was a highly asymetrical war between 4 faction: CIA, DEA, narcos, and a rebel group called the PLF (panamean liberation front)

on paper the CIA and DEA are allied with each other and the FLP with the narcos but in practice things where much more nuanced than that wich led to a lot of shifting alliances during the entirity of the game, the equipement was also very unevenly distributed: the CIA and DEA had acces to plate carriers, night vision and medic training meaning they had great healing capacities and more resistance to injury but their weapons where limited to SMGs, pistols and assault rifles, with only 4 mags per soldiers, the FLP and narcos on the other hand where allowed acces to LMGs, and grenades launchers with up to 8 mags per soldiers but without any balistic protection and only a few medic available meaning that they could die more easily and took more than 5 minutes to heal, there were also a huge difference in number: 15 men for the CIA, 15 men for the DEA, VS 40 FLP soldier and 10 narcos.

in the end it was a very enjoyable game and i wish we'll get to do a part 2 one day.
