A portrait I made of the late Stephen Gately who was a member of Irish boyband named Boyzone. He was my favourite member of Boyzone and had a great voice. I'd admire him because he was a nice person and was good looking. He was very brave when he came out as gay. I was happy when Boyzone reunited in 2007 and were making a comeback.

He sadly passed away in 2009 of an pulmonary oedema resulting from an undiagnosed heart condition. His death really affected me he had so much to live for and was full of life. 14 years later it still affects me. My biggest regret is not seeing him and Boyzone in concert when he was alive, but I did managed to see Boyzone in their farewell tour in 2019.

I thought recently why don't I do a drawing of him on my computer, I started drawing and it started off easy, but it got more challenging when it came to drawing the lips, it took me ages to do the lips correctly it may not be 100% accurate, but still I did my best.
