I do believe that out of everything I have seen in your gallery this is one of my favorites. Your technique is fantastic. Your subject matter is breath taking. Thank you for having your stuff in such a public forum. I am truly impressed and thankful.

i think this piece is absolutely lovely. stunning, really. so don't get me wrong when i make this small suggestion... which i make sheepishly... because i know i wouldn't be able what you've just done here in the first place...:

the placement of the cracks should vary more, i think? on each figure the cracks are all either on the left side or the right side. never vary from side to side. and they're all in basically the same place on the face... making it look less like a natural fenomena of aging plaster and paint, and more like... well... like an artist has added them there with disregard to the natural aging process of plaster and paint.

but, again. it's gorgeous. and i'm just nit-picking.

if you take note of my comments you'll know i think your work is just fucking amazing and i want to kill you because you are highly skilled. description is slightly confusing me though. i'm sure whether that's for the piece/the statues (i think they're statues) or just you typing random stuff. however i think it fits the piece and i can run into several interpretations here because i have felt things that i feel (damn loss of vocabulary) are almost perfectly captured in this piece. i think i dreamed something like this. yes i have dreamed something like this; and played it over many times in my skull.

"nothing to say but thanks for asking dear"

nothing to say to help you. nothing to say to comfort you. nothing to say to guide you but i'm glad you came to me. im glad that you are helpless, hopeless and useless except to entertain me; except to keep me company here......

Just out of curiosity, was there any particular reason that you chose to have the middle one's disfigurement be on the right side of its face instead of its left? Or is it the face on our left that is supposed to stand out for being different?

They look as if they have taken an unbreakable oath to keep some overwhelming secret. The inner weight of this secret is taking a terrible toll upon them.
They might also be any number of mythic feminine trinities.
Like the Three Norns of Fate in the Edda of Scandinavian Mythology.
Their names are β€œUrd” Past, β€œWerdandi” the Present, and β€œSkuld” the Future. β€œwhich is either rich in hope or dark with tears”.

eerie and brooding approach on this, scissors hands. you know how i like this!
from smooth texturing to the capturing mood of the subject, its all well done.
the tones used is great as well adding a nice ancient look to it!
