"There's a coffee shop around the corner that reopened. They didn't even mind me taking their mugs. Those gold 'invasion bucks' coins really do smooth over ruffled feathers.

"Can I ask you something, El-Tee?"

"You're usually all about the coffee. But not now. How come?"

I sighed, and took a sip of coffee. "A wise man once said 'There is nothing so terrible as a battle lost, except a battle won.' And in the grand scheme of things, this was a skirmish at best, but we still lost people, we still lost equipment. And when when the 1st Quebec Division gets their feet under them, Predator is gonna get hammered hard. They're fighting a defensive battle, they know the terrain. For every meter we take, our supply lines extend another meter, and that's another meter of terrain we don't know.
