Description
I've wanted to have a go at drawing 's Eltanin for a while now, and his recent release of pt. 1 of "Vault of Infinity" provided a good opportunity to do so. Not the most dynamic picture I've drawn, but the opening scene of two Toa navigating through a dark sea shrouded in fog in a rowboat was something that stuck with me and I figured was worth drawing nonetheless. The focus here is obviously on Eltanin, whose head in particular was a fun challenge to work out. The re-styled Pakari features a tricky set of curved and rounded features and the 'ponytail' assembly is something that I've never done before. Also, it's been a while since I've drawn any characters whose natural color palette is on the lighter side of the spectrum; silver, gold, and white shade differently from my usual dark greys and, in Bionicle terms, "Metru colors." I suppose I could use more practice with fog too, but I'm quite okay with it for now.
