Description This is part of a series of traditional drawings with digital colorization which I have been working, depicting hybridizations or possible evolutions of existing creatures on Earth. This one is an aquatic evolution of a rabbit, somewhat inspired by some research I was doing for a graphic novel I am writing. It seems that the sea level rise projected would convert some low-lying meadows into marshland. I makes sense in my mind that this creates an ideal new niche for an amphibious herbivore to fill. This rabbit descendant displays traits of its meadow- dwelling ancestors, while having developed the webbed feet and insulating waterproof fur common to mammals such as voles and otters.

[edit]
I think I may come back and rework this one eventually, I did it when I was still getting the hang of digital coloring and don't really like the way that the fur looks now.
