Mega Man linked up with Rush and defeated Zeldon. He had no choice but to flee. Mega Man asked if Geno and the others were alright. Luigi got up feeling a bit tired, but he gave Yoshi and 1up, and Yoshi was his normal self. Mega Man asked who were they and why they are here. Geno told Mega Man there mission about the Smash Shard, and saving the City. Mega Man offered them to come to his home to rest. He brought them to his home, and introduced them to Roll, and Doctor Light. Doctor Light explains that the this attack on the City was the 3rd time it had happened. The attacks were being caused by Doctor Wily, Doctor Light's former partner. He, Roll, and Rock are always on high alert for they don't know what they are after. Geno asked if they have seen a Smash Shard anyone, because this maybe the reason why the City is being attacked. Geno went into detail about what it was. Doctor Light sadly did not know anything about the Shard. But if they find it, the attacks on the City might stop. Mega Man offers to help them find the Shard. But without a lead they had no idea were to start looking. Light stats that the Shard must be somewhere in the City, but that's all they have to go off from. In order to find the Shard, they had to split up. Yoshi, and Geno were on one team, Luigi, Mega Man, and Rush were the other.
