Description
The Pacespear M73 DURA (Disposable Unguided Rodule Accelerator) is a shoulder-fired single use anti-tank railgun. Born from a need to counter progressively advanced and heavier armor appearing on the battlefield, this man-portable kinetic weapon has proven effective at challenging tanks, AFVs, and hardened fortifications. Nicknamed the "Speargun", the M73 found much love from Western foot soldiers for it's favorable stopping power-to-weight ratio and disposability. The DURA is powered by dual rapid drop capacitor-battery linkages to accelerate an APFSDA (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Armature) cubic boron nitride tipped rodule between a set of parallel conductive rails at extremely high velocity, and is capable of bypassing reactive armor and active protection systems.
