Description
The Spell Book one small element of my The Wizards Library painting.

The painting took me around 1 month (couple of hours here and there most nights), and has loads of elements that can get lost in the main painting - so I decided to list some of my favourite items individually.

The Spell book itself took quite a while to build up. initially drawing it in pencil, painting it up in a dark parchment colour, then lightening the raised/lighter parts of the pages. Then adding some rips, the other pages, some book marks. Finally I added the small pictures on the book (with ink pen, and then acrylic paint) and added the small lettering with acrylic paint. I was reasonably happy with overall effect
