in my own personal world building construct large jellyfish creatures called Drifters exist and can grow to enormous size...held aloft by their natural production of lighter than air gasses through the process of digestion of whatever they ensnare in their dangling tendrils...their movements are dictated by the winds and are found mostly on the coasts but are sometimes blown further inland due to storms or hurricanes ...beautiful from a distance but terrifying when encountered up close
