Meet Lamentia, a member of the spectral Theriolis species, hailing from a realm beyond our familiar cosmos. I, Scott Meade, encountered Lamentia during my interstellar explorations, drawn towards her by the aura of desolation that seemed to resonate around her.
Her form was a grand spectacle. With an exoskeleton boasting intricate patterns, she was a vision of cyan and dark beige. Her eyes, a deeper shade of azure, were like wells of cosmic melancholy, reflecting the expanse she traversed. What I assumed as sculptural costumes were in fact natural extensions of her being, adding to the uniqueness of the Theriolis species.
Lamentia spoke of a tale, a narrative that held no significance in our world but was a source of profound sorrow in hers. It was the story of a celestial melody, born from the harmonious resonance of her home planet's twin moons. This melody, a testament to the cosmic unity, ceased one cycle. The silence that ensued, although imperceptible to us, was deafening for the Theriolis who found solace in the celestial cadence.
Preserving Lamentia in her natural milieu, against the backdrop of her sorrow, became my objective. I photographed her using my Hasselblad H6D-100c equipped with a 100mm macro lens, preserving the intimate details of her existence.
