I'm using my inking brush for almost the whole painting (been experimenting with this for a while).. so I 'think' it looks more like a coloured drawing than a painting.. is that what you mean Lee?

I guess that is probably it,I get the sense that alot of your other work is built up with a light opacity brush from a dark canvas, whereas this piece seems to have more definite/deliberate strokes with a more opaque brush. It also seems to have a more vibrant overall tone. I may just be imagining it too of course!

This is pretty much done the same way I usually paint, with those nervous (I'm not sure wtf I'm doing) brush marks, I'm just using a different brush, lol.
So I guess playing with different brushes in Painter might eventually help my stuff out.. I'm on a 'meh session' with my art at the moment.

always interesting to see what others read into your images. To be honest I always have thought of your stuff as being very confident, it's strange to hear that you're going through one of 'those' phases. I seem to be permanently stuck in one!

Just for the record, I'm usually stuck in one of those phases too.. it's just a varying amount of doubt from phase to phase at the moment.. meh, I guess it's something we all have to deal with and battle through.
