Sometimes I set down in a good spot- think this was a big tourist restaurant in Cambodia- and just draw in a set of oval head shapes, wait and watch, and the faces come out of the crowd at you. Nothing deep, just the ones who are settled enough, not staring back- and these days, usually fiddling with their phones.
