Tutorial on how I went about creating my helmet.Didn't actually take many photos during the actual process, but I hope this helps everyone that's thinking about cosplaying Doc Scratch.

Maybe the answer is blatantly obvious to everyone else, but for taping the viewing strip, is the tape on the outside of the globe, or inside? And do you paint over it?

You tape on the outside of the globe, before painting. Keep it on while you paint, and then remove it once the paint has dried.

But, wouldn't that leave a big, oddly coloured strip? Or am I missing an essential step?
