PHYSICAL

Physical Description:

Gin is a stocky Snow Jynx with a sandy pelt, dark accent markings and heterochromic eyes. They are scruffy with long tufts of fur covering their right eye and their cheeks. Spots and some minimal stripes lay across their whole body. The tip of their nose, their cheek fluff, paws and tail tip are all black in color and they have three back stripes along the base of their tail. Their spots are a darker tan from their base pelt and are large, with the largest being across their back in a strange splotch. The inside of their spots- as well as their maw, inner ear, undercoat, legs and the ruff of their neck- are a lighter sandy color. Their left eye is a vivid purple, while their right eye- hidden under their hair tuft- is a toxic green.

Gin is the perfect model of what every parent wants their child to be. Responsible, mature, and a good sibling. They take tasks given to them with no complaint, and while they perform those tasks at their own pace, they're not slouch. It's not uncommon for them to pick up chores on their own as well after they've been assigned something enough times as well. They take on an elder sibling role within their pack of siblings, trying to best to lead them towards their goals and supporting them in their endeavors. They do their best to lift their siblings up when they need it, providing both physical and emotional support. In that sense, they'll stick with their immediate family, and those that are close to them, no matter what the circumstances. Through sunshine, rain or hail, they are an immovable object in that sense.

They're a bit of an oddball from the first time you meet them. They're naturally quiet and generally tend to keep to themselves in most situations. That's not to say they're anti-social however, just... Something about them always seems a bit out of reach or they look like they're planning something. Gin is quite sneaky when they want to be, their quietness only enhancing this effect. It's hard to tell what they're thinking at any given time, face that one would compare to a brick wall. They can tend to be rather intimidating in this regard, as well. They carry themselves with the respect they know they deserve. Thier self-esteem is not so inflated they can't see their own flaws but they know their strengths and play to them, and they make sure everybody else knows it too.

Leaning into the fact they're quiet and often engaging in some kind of sneakery, Gin has a bit of a mischievious streak. They like slipping thoughts into conversation, eluding to mildly disturbing things or helping their more naughty siblings with a prank. It doesn't often work in other cat's favors either as they can often be a bit mean on the best of days... And revenge seeking on others. If someone has slighted them or their siblings- even their other siblings- they won't hesitate in doling out what they think that cat deserves.

Background

Gin believed themself to be born to two rogues in an abnormally large litter of seven cubs on the outskirts of Stone Empire's territory. In reality, their litter had been two born on the same day. One a litter of five and the other a litter of two twins born to the five's sister. Gin and Draft's, the twins, mother had died not long after childbirth and had been taken in by their aunt and her mate. The now remaining pair hoped they were far enough from the city that they would be safe from Hunters, though much too close to Empire territory to truly find any comfort. It wouldn't matter in the end, as natural disaster would be the pair- as well as their cub's- downfall.

Their home, a cave they had settled in, collapsed with the parents and litter inside.

The memories are hard to bring to the surface of their mind, the only thing Gin remembers is the crushing feeling. The way their lungs constricted as air was stolen in the panic of their siblings and parents. Cries and screams, chants for help. And suddenly a light, two faces that they did not recognize.

Wardens, though that was not a word Gin knew at the time, had come to their rescue. Luck had seemed on their side that day as Eligos and Maia, two Hunters, dug them and their siblings out of the rubble. Gin's lungs sucked in the fresh air greedily and it wouldn't be until much later that they'd discover their parents had died. That they had sacrificed themselves to sheild the cubs from the sudden cave in.

It was a suprise to the two wardens how similar these cubs of two random cats, looked so similar to them. They hadn't known each other long, and the resemblance was uncanny. Together, they decided that it might as well be a sign they were meant to find the cubs and took them in. They would raise the cubs together as platonic partners, ensuring that the cubs would have a safe home to return to.

That leads us to the now, where Gin resides with Eligos and his siblings. Life has only just begun in the wake of destruction and grief, ambition already sown into Gin's very being. Who knows what life has in store?
