"I don't need your pity, oh mighty leader." Boarder spat as she turned her back on Bellerophon. "The assessment starts soon, I'm getting ready and so should you. We won't want you eating my dust when it's my job to rescue you after all.

Maybe she was being harsh, but Boarder didn't neccesarily care. Bellerophon still had yet to earn her respect back, and he likely wouldn't for a long time. And he might be the one she needed to save for her assignment today, and he might be her empire's leader but he was nothing to her. Just as she was supposedly nothing to him. The words still rang in her ears from the day she had asked to take her assessment early.

"I'm just trying to protect you, Kodiak!"

Yeah, that wasn't gonna fucking fly with her. She'd never thought that her worst thoughts would ring true, that everyone only saw her for her father. That she was only viewed as Kodiak's legacy.

She'd show them all- she'd show Bellerophon- that she was more than her father ever was or ever could be.
