This Lienis combat strider is composed of multiple different living organisms, that have been engineered to function as cohesive whole. These types of bio-constructs have the advantage of easier maintenance and also mass manufacture, as the individual organisms used to construct the strider can be independently produced and should the strider suffer combat damage, injured or dead components can be replaced with functional spares relatively swiftly. Of course, the drawback of such bio-constructs is the need for a pilot to properly steer them and their dependence on steady supply lines, as these constructs aren't capable of surviving without maintenance.
